Texting is fingered speech. Now we can write the way we talk.

A lot of us, especially teenagers like me, text a lot, sometimes a little too much to be honest. Just like the quote above, texting is indeed the "fingered speech" and we do text the way we talk. Since we text the way we talk, does texting really affect our knowledge in the English Language?

I admit that I am not that fond of texting but I do text people too. I have encountered a lot of text messaging ways of different people. A lot of people really like to make the words in their texts shorter. They tend to cut out almost all of the vowels of the word. I do the same too, but I love to keep the words in their right spelling most of time, except when I am in a rush or when I am too lazy to type.

With that, I believe that texting doesn't really affect my knowledge in the English Language. I am sometimes confused with some spelling of the words but that is just normal for me. I am a very forgetful person just so you know. Even when I text, there has never been a time that I am unsure of the message that I sent to someone. So to say that texting affects the knowledge in the English Language is a no no for me.
