The Best Part

Sep 15, 2013

William Shakespeare has written a lot of tremendous plays and A Midsummer Night's Dream is one of them. This play made me feel like I was on a roller coaster. It was unpredictable yet fun. Just like any other plays that Shakespeare has written, A Midsummer Night's Dream has a plot with the Exposition up to the Resolution.

It is my duty to find out what the most exciting part of the play is, the climax.

The CLIMAX of the story is:
The point of greatest intensity or force in an ascending series or progression; a culmination
Given that, in my opinion, Act III Scene II-III is where the climax is.

Act III Scene II-III is where Lysander was accidentally given the love potion that was supposed to be for Demetrius. Demetrius was also given a potion of his own. The love potions made both men fall head over heels in love with Helena. This is where the drama starts. Hermia felt insecure because both men used to be in love with her but they are now treating her coldly. Helena can't seem to grasp the sudden turn of events. The act is all about the four lovers and how they are towards each other.

This part is the most exciting part of all because this is where all the drama happened. It was really unexpected and the scene made me feel anxious.
