As I watch, I can no longer see the quarry
I saw the hungry flood eating up everything
Everything it passes by leaving them nothing
I sit here in room after watching TV
Thinking about the houses that were left empty
The sadness, the grief, the emptiness in their eyes
The way they lay there as if they're going to cry
Lord did you also witness the things that I have watched?
Did you see how they looked so helpless and scratched?
Did you also see the pain shining through their eyes?
Have you seen how badly they want to stop the crying sky?
Lord in behalf of those in need I pray to you
Please make them calm and safe with that caress of you
Please go into their weakened heart to give them hope
Make them believe again and hold onto the rope
We are sorry for our wrong doings in the past
To never do it again is really a must
We are sorry if we have disappointed you
We really are sorry for making you feel blue
I hope that you wouldn't let all of them down
Their faith on you is what keeps them from falling down
I hope that you would hear my prayer for the people
And help them all eat again on their own table
I thank you for keeping my family safe and sound
Away from the roar of the raging storm and clouds
Though it makes me feel guilty, I will still thank you
For all of the blessings and the safety from you
I know that you love all of the people bad or good
You won't leave them, you'll help them. I know that you would.
